The objective of this site is primarily to help my students have access to a variety of material and information related to our English classes. At the same time, the idea is to share our projects with the rest of the world.

 

I firmly believe in Project Based Learning and 21st century skills "from a humanistic perspective", namely, from the perspective that through the development of creativity, collaboration, critical thinking, and problem solving (among other skills) students can develop their inner talents and make a better world. I carry out hands-on projects through which my students can improve their English at different levels (speaking, listening, writing and reading) and develop 21st century skills.

 

We live in a complex world; and it is getting more complex as time goes by. In fact, we live in a world that is changing at such a pace that our brains can barely grasp. Under these circumstances, it is of paramount importance to teach our students to develop flexibility in their learning, to work in teams, not in an individualistic way, with a collaborative spirit and to use technological devices, which are an undeniable part of our world nowadays, among other things with an eye on developing one´s inner talents. At the same time, as most jobs (some estimates say 60%) students will carry out in the future do not even exist yet it is even more important to teach our students to be creative, flexible, and able to solve the problems of this complex world with a critical mind. This site is aimed, therefore, at developing these skills as well as relate the projects we do in class with an eye on the community, the world around us, and a preservation of our environment.
